We are a dynamic, innovative and compassionate Community of Learning dedicated to building a culture of Care and Inclusion within higher education. Our core values revolve around Compassion, Diversity, Emotions, Collaboration, Relationships, Inclusion and Social Justice. We believe growing a caring space that cultivates Social Consciousness among both educators and students. In our community, we prioritize the development of the unique attributes of students to be their best in the helping professions they have chosen and to foster social good so that they may engage critically with the world around them. Our commitment extends beyond the traditional boundaries of education, emphasizing not only academic achievement but also the holistic growth of the person. We actively seek to create a rich learning environment that promotes meaningful Student Engagement, ensuring that students are co-creators of knowledge in their own educational journey. Through co-designing curriculum, guidelines and artefacts we aim to collectively foster caring helping professionals that are prepared for an unknown world that is more socially conscious.

What the project vision is
We're embarking on a multi-year thoughtful exploration to reimagine social work education in the post-COVID landscape. There are several South African higher education institutions represented in this project. Our aim is simple – to craft real-world practical scenarios, effective strategies, and useful guidelines for a world that's finding its way back to normalcy.
